Executive Coaching

Rationale

To coach/mentor designated principals, assistant principals, or district leaders in the skill areas of instructional leadership, academic focus and trust building.

Background

Consistent with relative components of the Georgia State Department of Education Leader Keys Effectiveness System (LKES)* our approach to Executive coaching provides leaders with meaningful feedback to support their continuous professional growth and development. The initial coaching plan is customized to address various LKES initiatives and tailored over time to meet the ongoing needs of personnel and their up-line management team.

LKES Components

Instructional Leadership                                    School Climate

Planning and Assessment                                   Organizational Management

Human Resources Management                         Teacher/Staff Evaluation

Professionalism                                                 Communication and Community Relations

Methodology

Our Executive coaching techniques include a non-evaluative blended coach/mentor format. (A description of our techniques is referenced in The Coach and the Evaluator (Bob Tschannen-Moran and Megan Tschannen-Moran.) Our Executive Coaches are supported by the latest research and techniques through professional growth opportunities provided in quarterly sessions by Deb Harden Consulting. This professional growth is rooted in the CCU standards and deep professional knowledge based on Dr. Harden’s coaching for leaders through GSSA, GSBA, and GLISI. Continuous growth in knowledge and skills of the coaches allows for highly effective customization for leaders. A sample scenario July 2018-June 2019 may include: A minimum of one three-hour session/observation per month using a combination of face-to-face and virtual techniques for engagement.

Pricing

A typical agreement is $4200 for 12 visits. It is important to note that services can be provided in three-hour increments. Providing services in smaller increments provides the leader with continual support for the entire school year.
